The Ann Arbor Summer Festival presents

Big TOP Revue: SOLD OUT

A night of cuisine and cabaret to benefit Top of the Park

Fat Tuesday, February 16 | 6:00-11:00 pm | Gratzi & La Dolce Vita

The Ann Arbor Summer Festival invites you to the first annual “Big TOP Revue” to benefit Top of the Park. Join us on Fat Tuesday, February 16, 2010 for a saucy blend of cabaret, circus, and burlesque, all choreographed around a sumptuous three-course meal followed by an underground after-party.

Hosted on Mardi Gras Day by Gratzi and La Dolce Vita in downtown Ann Arbor, the restaurants provide the perfect backdrop being housed in the former Orpheum Theatre, a decadent movie palace that also presented vaudeville acts when it opened in 1913. Glimpses of the venue’s former glory will be on display, along with plenty of fishnets, feathers and fans, as we support the festival’s admission-free concert and movie series by revisiting the golden age of show business.

A cocktail reception begins at 6:00 pm with hors d'oeuvres and live music, followed by a seated dinner featuring three courses of Grazi’s signature cuisine paired with fine wines and cabaret entertainment at 7:00 pm. Entrée options include: Pollo al Marsala, Salmone al Ferro con Gnocchi, and Fettuccine con Pomodoro Basilico. Immediately following dessert, guests are invited downstairs to La Dolce Vita at 9:00 pm for an after-party show featuring more wine, spirits, and late-night follies.

Mark your calendars now for the event sure to warm up even the chilliest of February evenings. Combining the traditions of vaudeville and music hall with Berliner Kabarett, this new festival fundraiser is a post-Valentine’s and Mardi Gras carnival all rolled into one night of sideshow theatrics and culinary artistry, featuring cocktails, crooners, and a few curiosities.

TICKETS PER PERSON:  $150 (all-inclusive; SOLD OUT); $35 (after-party only; SOLD OUT)

SPECIAL NOTES:

*Attire is festive cocktail or Moulin Rouge chic; feathers and beads encouraged.

*This event is a re-interpretation of the past Chefs fundraiser, keeping a similar gourmet dining experience, but freshening it up with some great entertainment.

*All attendees of the after-party must be 21 and over, please.

*Proceeds benefit the festival's admission-free concert and movie series at Top of the Park. A portion of your ticket purchase is tax deductible, and a receipt will be provided for your records.
